SUPER MODEL!
Well, for those of you who don't know . . . you should be getting Gabby's atougraph! About a year ago we met a guy here who is a talent agent and he wanted photos of all of us so that he could get jobs for us . . . so yes, our family has an agent =+)! Then about 2 months ago our agent called and said that he had a job for Gabby, so we brought her in and she had a photo shoot. She is quite the drama queen and she had a blast posing for the camera. So . . . Gabby is now larger than life in a store here called Brands Outlet. We brought her to see her photos and she was pretty amazed. There are three different photos of her up on the walls there and here they are.
I loved this dress on her and want to buy it!

Love to all . . . we think of you often!

Selamat Hari Raya once again

For those of you who are new to the blog or don't remember . . . Hari Raya is the celebration at the end of the Muslim fasting month of Ramadan. (and Selamat means good). For this celabration the Malay people have open houses where they invite all their friends over and serve lots of good food (most of which is special food only served during Hari Raya). This year we were invited to and went to 7 open house in three days. Three of the houses we went to were 2 hours away . . . they were the extended family of some of our friends here in KL. We spent the night there in their kampung (neighborhood), in their house on the floor. We enjoyed the time of getting to know all of our friends a little bit better. It was a great time of language esposure for sure though . . . I felt very encouraged with where we are at in knowing Bahasa Maleyu, it is so cool to be able to speak to our friends in their heart language! This first photo is of the road that our new friends (where we spent the night last week) north of here live on . . . this is a two way road by the way!

Here is Andy and Gabby at the mall (where we ended one of our days of visiting open houses) our friends at Starbucks wanted to see us all dressed up in our gear.

I think that Eli was the cutest in his outfit (the pants and shirt are called a baju maleyu, and then the skirt like thing around his waist is called a sampin and then his hat which is called a songkok)
Eli and Andy were enjoying some of the Kuih Raya (special cookies, pastries, and chips that they make special for Hari Raya. Every house that you go to has numerous jars for all the visitors to snack on.
This was at one of the houses we visited this is the meal that they served us . . . it was very yummy.
Gabby and Eli took a nap at one of the houses . . . they were worn out from all the eating =+) The picture of Gabby is pretty creepy . . . but that is how she sleeps, with her eyes half open!!
Here is Andy hanging out . . . waiting to eat =+).
My kiddos and I before we went out for the day, to make our rounds.
A must . . . the family photo on Hari Raya =+).

Gabs and Eli . . . such cuties!!

Thanks for checking out the blog, we love you all so much. Please keep us in your thoughts these next few weeks as we are moving to new house that is about 15 minutes from where we are now. It is a place on the ground instead of a condo and we are excited about getting moved in, but not excited about all the work it will take!
